There are two holiday inn's near Manchester Airport. One of them is on Brown Avenue and has the Airport Diner - this is a review of the other one, which is closer to the Mall of New Hampshire. THE GOOD The room was large and comfortable. It easily accommodated my large family. The location is ideal for anyone visiting Manchester (or southern New Hampshire in general). THE BAD Manchester has a terrible problem with drugs and hotels are a huge part of that. (My brother is a police officer here, he tells me too many stories involving local hotels.) There were quite a few sketchy people about both at night when we arrived and early in the morning when we got breakfast. Far more than in any hotel I've stayed at in a long time and far more than you would expect at a Holiday Inn. You are going to deal with this at any local hotel though and the local governments are trying to fix it. This is not the reason I'm taking the time to write this review. THE UNACCEPTABLE We came in late and were given one key. That was pretty unusual. We asked for a pack and play, it was pretty obvious the night manager couldn't be bothered to go to housekeeping and get us one. We asked in person at the front desk and later via the phone. "I'll look into it" never materialized and turned into sharing the bed all night with an squirmy 20 month old. The room is old and needs updating. The furniture was stained. The shower head was broken and spraying water up out of the shower into the bathroom. The hallways kind of smelled. I've rarely been at a place that excelled so much at not excelling. A little bit of customer service would go a long way here. We got none.

Hotel was very conveniently located. Staff was friendly. Our room never got cleaned during the day. Needed a lot of updates. Couch was stained. Was something pink and sticky on headboard. Continental breakfast was pretty good, coffee was good.

Hoor was incredibly helpful and sweet when checking in! She made sure I had a room and was taken care of! The room was good and there have been no issues! I would highly recommend this hotel to others traveling to the area! This was truly great experience!

Harry and Annie were great employees and very helpful. They went above and beyond for me, and they made our stay really special. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the stay! We will definitely come back if the chance arises again. Hopefully Harry and Annie are there again, they really made the stay memorable.
